Jakarta Comes Closer the Overal Champion at POMNas XIX 2025

The high determination of the athletes and the cooperation of all officials of the sports branch team bring Jakarta closer to securing the overall championship title at the National Student Sports Week XIX (POMNas) in Central Java.

Will again achieve the overall champion title

In this sports competition held from September 19 to 27, 2025, Jakarta athletes have already won 67 gold medals, 42 silver medals, and 42 bronze medals.

Jakarta still leads far ahead of the host Central Java, which so far has earned 44 gold medals, 44 silver medals, and 32 bronze medals. Meanwhile, East Java is surpassing Central Java in third place with a collection of 33 gold medals, 37 silver medals, and 34 bronze medals.

Jakarta's Medal Tally Unshaken at POMNas XIX

Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) Secretary, Hendra Eka Permana said that with a significant lead, Jakarta's optimism of winning the overall champion title becomes even more evident.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), until yesterday's event, we are still far ahead; of course, this brings very high optimism that Jakarta will again achieve the overall champion title in Central Java," he expressed, Thursday (9/25).

He explained, swimming became the main source of gold medals in Jakarta, with 32 events contested, and the swimmers performed impressively to become overall champions with 23 gold medals.

He added that another gold medal harvest from Jakarta's medal tally comes from Athletics with 13 gold medals, seven silver, and three bronze.

"We need the prayers and support of Jakarta residents to become the overall champion this year. Also, hopefully our athletes are given health and smoothness to achieve the best achievements," he stated.
